Signore e Signori, cari amici,
a nome del Comitato per il Gemellaggio Pietrapaola Warstein, un cordiale benvenuto a tutti.
Un caloroso saluto va ai docenti del gemellaggio scolastico e un grazie per la loro partecipazione.
Ringrazio anche il sindaco Luciano Pugliese che per otto anni ha fatto parte del nostro comitato, prodigandosi sempre e attivamente in nome del gemellaggio.
Infine, voglio esprimere la mia gratitudine a tutti i membri di entrambi i comitati, quello di Warstein e quello di Pietrapaola, che con il loro instancabile impegno stanno contribuendo da oltre dieci anni alla promozione e allo sviluppo del nostro gemellaggio.
Cari amici di St. Pol e di Hebden Royd, è un grande onore per me potervi salutare per la prima volta qui a Pietrapaola come nuovi ospiti, attesi da tutti noi con ansia.
La vostra partecipazione a questo incontro contribuisce ad ampliare il nostro orizzonte europeo, rafforzando l‘intesa e la pace tra i popoli, e dando nuovi impulsi al nostro cammino.
Nel corso degli anni la nostra ultradecennale collaborazione con Warstein ha dato molti buoni frutti, come abbiamo illustrato in un prospetto che abbiamo distribuito l‘anno scorso in occasione della nostra visita in Germania per il decimo anniversario del gemellaggio.
Siamo decisi a continuare su questa strada. È nostra intenzione realizzare nuovi progetti per contribuire a rinsaldare e ampliare i vincoli socio-culturali che legano le nostre città.
Ci dispiace che la vostra permanenza a Pietrapaola sia così breve. Per questo motivo abbiamo dovuto limitare il nostro programma alle attività che ritenevamo più essenziali.
Avremmo volentieri fatto di più per ospiti così graditi: noi speriamo che i pochi giorni trascorsi qui siano stati di vostro gradimento e che anche in futuro voi possiate apprezzare la nostra ospitalità.
Noi siamo determinati a continuare su questa strada di cooperazione e amicizia tra i popoli, dando in questo modo il nostro contributo alla costruzione di una comune casa europea, con solide basi ispirate ai valori della pace e della libertà.
Vi ringrazio per la cortese attenzione e vi auguro una piacevole serata.

Eröffnungsansprache des Präsidenten des Vereins für die Städtepartnerschaften Francesco Talarico
Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Freunde
Im Namen des Ausschusses für die Städtepartnerschaften Pietrapaola – Warstein, heiße ich Sie alle herzlich Willkommen.
Ganz besonders grüße ich die Lehrer der Schulpartnerschaften. Vielen Dank für Ihre Teilnahme.
Ich danke auch dem Bürgermeister Luciano Pugliese, der seit acht Jahren Mitglied unseres Vereins ist, und der sich stets mit großem Einsatz und viel Arbeit für die Sache der Städtepartnerschaften engagiert hat.
Schließlich möchte ich meinen Dank allen Mitgliedern der beiden Vereine aus Warstein und aus Pietrapaola aussprechen, die durch ihre unermüdlichen Bemühungen seit mehr als zehn Jahren zur Förderung der Entwicklung unserer Partnerschaft beitragen.
Liebe Freunde aus Saint- Pol und aus Hebden Royd, es ist eine große Ehre für mich, Sie zum ersten Mal in hier Pietrapaola als neue, lang ersehnt erwartete Gäste begrüßen zu dürfen. Ihre Teilnahme an dieser Veranstaltung erweitert unseren europäischen Horizont, trägt zum gegenseitigen Verständnis und zum Frieden bei und gibt uns neue Impulse für den gemeinsamen Weg.
In den 10 Jahren der Zusammenarbeit mit Warstein haben wir viele gute Ergebnisse erzielt. Dies haben wir in einem Bericht dargestellt, den wir im letzten Jahr während unseres Besuchs in Deutschland anlässlich des zehnten Jahrestags der Städtepartnerschaft veröffentlicht haben.
Wir sind entschlossen, auf diesem Weg weiterzugehen. Es ist unsere Absicht, neue Projekte zur Stärkung und Erweiterung der sozio-kulturellen Verbindung zwischen unseren Städten durchzuführen.
Wir bedauern, dass Ihr Aufenthalt in Pietrapaola so kurz ist. Aus diesem Grund mussten wir unser Programm auf die allerwichtigsten Aktivitäten beschränken.
Für solch willkommene Gäste hätten wir gerne mehr getan. Wir hoffen, dass die letzten Tagen hier nach Ihrem Geschmack gewesen sind und dass Sie auch in Zukunft unsere Gastfreundschaft genießen werden.
Unser Wünsch ist, den Weg der Zusammenarbeit und Freundschaft zwischen den Völkern fortzusetzen und so unseren Beitrag zu leisten zum Aufbau des gemeinsamen europäischen Hauses, mit einem soliden Fundament, inspiriert durch die Werte von Frieden und Freiheit.

Allocution d’ouverture par le président de l’association pour le jumelage Francesco Talarico
Mesdames et Messieurs, chers amis,
au nom de la commission du Jumelage Pietrapaola Warstein, je souhaite une cordiale bienvenue à tous.
Une salutation particulière est adressée aux enseignants de l’école et mon remerciement pour leur participation.
Je tiens à remercier aussi le Maire Luciano Pugliese, qui pendant huit ans a été un membre de notre comité, en travaillant dur et activement au nom du jumelage.
Enfin, je tiens à exprimer ma gratitude à tous les membres des deux comités, celui de Warstein et celui de Pietrapaola, qui avec leurs efforts contribuent depuis de plus de dix ans à la promotion et au développement de notre jumelage.
Chers amis de Saint-Pol et Hebden Royd, c’est un grand honneur pour moi de vous accueillir pour la première fois ici à Pietrapaola, nous avions un fort désir de vous avoir ici. Votre participation à cette rencontre contribue à élargir notre horizon européen, à renforcer la compréhension et la paix entre les peuples, et à donner un nouvel élan à notre voyage.
Au fil des années, notre collaboration avec Warstein a donné beaucoup de bons résultats, comme nous l’avons montré dans un rapport que nous avons publié l’an dernier lors de notre visite en Allemagne pour le dixième anniversaire du jumelage.
Nous sommes déterminés à continuer sur cette voie. C’est notre intention de procéder à de nouveaux projets pour aider à renforcer et à étendre les contraintes socio-culturelles qui unissent notre ville.
Nous regrettons que votre séjour à Pietrapaola soit si court. Pour cette raison, nous avons dû limiter notre programme aux activités qui nous paraissent les plus essentielles. Nous aurions volontiers fait plus pour accueillir nos invités: nous espérons que ces derniers jours ici ont été agréables et que, dans l’avenir, vous pourrez apprécier notre hospitalité.
Nous sommes déterminés à continuer sur la voie de la coopération et de l’amitié entre les peuples, donnant ainsi notre contribution à la construction de la maison commune européenne, avec une base solide inspirée par les valeurs de paix et de liberté.

Opening address by the president of the association for the town twinning Francesco Talarico
Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,
in the name of the twinning town committee Pietrapaola – Warstein I cordially welcome you all.
I warmly welcome the staff of the school twinning and thank you for your participation.
I also thank the mayor Luciano Pugliese, who has been a member of our committee for eight years and who always worked hard and has been active in favor of the twinning town initiative.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude to all members of both committees, Warstein and Pietrapaola, who have been contributing with unfatiguing effort for more than ten years to the development of our twinning town initiative
Dear friends from Saint Pol and Hebden Royd, it is a great honor for me to welcome you for the first time here at Pietrapaola as our new guests, whom we all have been waiting for impatiently.Your participation in this event contributes to widen our European horizon, strengthens our alliance and peace between the nations and leads to new incentives for our way together.
For more than ten years our collaboration with Warstein has given us lots of good results, as we have illustrated in a prospect which we have distributed one year ago in occasion of our visit in Germany, where we have been celebrating the 10th birthday of the twinning town initiative.
We are willing to continue on our way. It is our intention to realize new projects which will contribute to consolidate and develop the socio-cultural bindings legating our towns.
We are very sorry that your stay at Pietrapaola is so short. For this reason we had to limit our program to the most essential activities. We would have liked to offer much more to such welcome hosts: we hope that the few days you spend here are satisfying to you and that also in future you are able to enjoy our hospitality.
We are determined to continue on our way of cooperation and friendship between the nations, and thus contribute to the construction of a common European house, with solid foundations which are inspired by the values of peace and liberty.
